Which Experiences shall we try in our Taster Week or Trial?

You can incorporate an Experience at any time during your sequence of lessons:
  1. Start with a bang to grab attention
  2. Use it midway to maintain motivation
  3. End on a high note for a lasting impression and consolidate learning!
Check the Experience glossary in the follow-on resources in the app first for vocabulary your children might not have come across yet.

Guidance Notes
  1. Start with a mini-staff experience!
  2. Follow the attached suggested Experiences guide - or choose an Experience that fits your current unit of work
  3. Set up your space - the hall or a cleared classroom works best
  4. Run the Experience (approx 15- 25 mins) -  movement and imagination encouraged!
  5. Follow up with the Recap, Discuss & Quiz to build oracy, empathy, and support retention (25 mins).
  6. Optional: Try the Writing Opportunities or Oracy Resources for a deeper dive.
